The Regina Police Service is asking for information from the public that may assist in an investigation into a Hit-and-Run collision, involving a vehicle and a cyclist.
On Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at approximately 9:18 p.m., police were dispatched to the area of 1st Avenue and Winnipeg Street, for a report of an injured cyclist. Police arrived and located male teen, who was injured and distraught. EMS was called to the scene. Police learned that the victim was riding his bicycle north-bound on Winnipeg Street at 1st Avenue when an older model truck turned east onto 1st Avenue and knocked him off his bike. The truck continued to drive east bound on 1st Avenue, dragging the bike. The bike was later located in the 200 block of 1st Avenue East. The victim was taken to hospital for assessment and treatment. Fortunately, his injuries did not appear to be serious.
