On Thursday, October 21, 2021, at approximately 7:25 a.m., police were dispatched to Rochdale Boulevard and Cedar Meadow Drive for the report of a hit and run where a pedestrian was struck.
Upon arriving, police observed an injured 70 year-old male laying on the ground. Witness reports stated that the pedestrian was crossing northbound on Rochdale Boulevard from the south sidewalk on Cedar Meadow Drive when an SUV turned left, eastbound from Cedar Meadow Drive onto Rochdale Boulevard, striking the male. The SUV continued eastbound without stopping.
EMS attended and the male was transported to hospital. At approximately 6:00 p.m., police were notified that the 70 year-old victim had passed away.
Police have located and seized the suspect vehicle.
