The Regina Police Service, in conjunction with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service, is confirming there is no criminal aspect to the death of an adult male located in a house fire on Monday, December 20, 2021.
Firefighters and police were called to the home on the 1600 Block of Montreal Street shortly before 5:30 a.m. Monday. Firefighters quickly brought the fire under control. In a search of the property, firefighters discovered a deceased adult male within the house. At that point, the investigation shifted to include a death investigation by police and the coroner.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by RFPS. The name of the deceased will not be released.
