The Regina Police Service is asking for the public’s help in solving a recent robbery involving a firearm.
This investigation began over a week ago, when police were dispatched to the 4100 block of Castle Road at approximately 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 23, 2022. Preliminary information indicated that a male with a handgun had just robbed three male victims. Police learned that the male suspect pointed the handgun at each of the victims and demanded their cellphones, as well as the keys to a car belonging to one of the victims. Fortunately, the victims were not physically hurt. The suspect left the scene in the stolen car before police arrived; an area search did not locate the stolen vehicle or the suspect, who was described only as male, approximately 5’ 7” tall, with his head and hair covered by a toque. Police did recover and return the stolen phones, and continued this investigation. In the early morning hours of Thursday, March 3, 2022, police located the stolen vehicle in the area of College Avenue and Halifax Street. Police are continuing their investigation to identify and locate the male suspect.
Anyone who has information to assist in this investigation is asked to contact the Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500 or Regina Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). The Regina Police Service thanks the media and the public for their cooperation on this matter.
