A 56 year-old Regina male has been charged in connection with a pair of robberies that happened in Regina last Friday.
On Friday, April 22, 2022, at about 3:30 p.m., police were dispatched to a restaurant in the 800 block of Albert Street for a robbery. The preliminary information indicated that a male suspect entered the business and demanded money. The suspect made gestures suggesting he had a weapon, but no weapon was seen. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. Nobody was physically harmed in the incident. Police obtained a description of the suspect and did an area search but didn’t find the suspect.
Less than a half-hour later, police received a report of a robbery at a business in the 1100 block of Angus Street. In this case, police located the suspect at the scene. The appearance of the suspect and the clothing he was wearing matched the description of the suspect in the robbery at 800 block Albert Street. The male was taken into custody without incident. Further investigation led to charges against the male in connection with both cases.
