Two adult males were arrested without incident and are now facing charges as the result of police investigation into an incident on Monday morning.
On April 18, 2022, at about 10:44 a.m. the Regina Police Service Communications Centre received a 9-1-1 call from a person stating that there was an injured male at a house in the 1500 block of Robinson Street. Police went to the house and found the victim: a 23 year-old male. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment of his injuries. Police located a male suspect who was identified as the perpetrator. Police also located a second male in the basement of the house who appeared to be in possession of illegal drugs and paraphernalia used in drug trafficking. The male was found to be on conditions not to possess drugs; he was also arrested without incident.
Twenty-six year-old Adam Grady DESCHAMBAULT, of Regina, is charged with Assault With a Weapon (knife), section 267(a) CC. DESCHAMBAULT was held for court on Monday, April 19, 2022.
Twenty-two year-old Troy CARDINAL of Regina, was charged with Breach of a Release Order, section 145(5)(a) CC; and Possession of a Scheduled Substance (fentanyl) for the Purpose of Trafficking, section 5(2) CDSA. CARDINAL was released on conditions and will make his first court appearance n these charges in Provincial Court on June 8, 2022.
