A 28 year-old female has been charged in connection with a stolen auto incident overnight.
Just before 3:00 a.m. today, Wednesday, April 20, 2022, uniformed officers in a marked patrol vehicle observed a brown Honda Odyssey driving in the area of Pasqua Street and 5th Avenue. The officers were aware that there was a vehicle, matching the one they observed, recently reported stolen in Regina. The patrol vehicle turned and drove behind the Odyssey. The driver of that vehicle sped away as the officers stopped to radio the location and direction of travel of the possible stolen vehicle. The vehicle was seen intermittently by several police units over the next several minutes. Police observed the vehicle disobeying traffic signals with no police vehicles in pursuit. A short time later, a Canine officer radioed that the suspect vehicle had collided with a residence in the 1400 block of Grey Street. A female suspect ran from the vehicle and was taken into custody by the Canine team. The suspect was bitten on her right forearm by the police dog. She was taken to hospital for assessment/treatment of injuries and then transported to Police detention. A search of the vehicle found a firearm, which was inoperable. The female driver was charged.
Twenty-eight year-old Shelby Anne CURTIS, of Regina, is charged with:
