A 34 year-old Regina male is facing a total of 20 criminal charges as the result of investigations carried out by the Regina Police Service Property Crimes Unit.
On April 29, 2022 The Property Crimes unit arrested a male from a stolen vehicle without incident. The vehicle had been used in a Break and Enter on April 24th. A search of the vehicle yielded a loaded firearm. A search of the suspect found a quantity of substances believed to be fentanyl and methamphetamine. Further investigation by Property Crimes members led to charges in connection with:
- Break & Enter – April 24th, 1600 block East Dewdney Avenue – tires, tools stolen;
- Break & Enter – sometime between April 23-26, 1300 block 23rd Avenue – documents, clothing, jewelry stolen;
- Theft under $5,000 – April 30th – license plate; and
- Possession of Stolen Auto – vehicle stolen April 20th
Thirty-four year-old Ronald Devon ZERR, of Regina, is charged with:
- Store Firearm (sawed-off rifle) Contrary to Regulations, s. 86(2) CC;
- Possession of Firearm, knowing its Possession is Unauthorized, s. 92(1) CC;
- Unauthorized Possession f of Firearm in a Motor Vehicle, s. 94(1) CC;
- Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition, s. 95(1)(a) CC;
- 5 X Possession of Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order, s. 117.01(1) CC;
- 3 X Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order, s. 145(5)(a) CC;
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000 (truck), s. 355(a) CC;
- 3 X Breach of Probation, s. 733.1(1) CC;
- Operation of a Conveyance While Prohibited, s. 320.18(1)(a) CC;
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000 (license plate), s. 355(b) CC; and
- 2 X Break, Enter & Commit Theft, s. 348(1)(b) CC;
Ronald ZERR made his first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court on Monday, May 2, 2022.
