A 22 year-old Regina male is facing criminal charges after an incident last Friday that sent a 31 year-old male to hospital with injuries.
On Friday, June 24, 2022, at about 4:52 a.m., police responded to the area of 6th Avenue and Angus Street for a report of two males assaulting a third male. Police arrived and located the victim: a 31 year-old Regina male, who had injuries consistent with a physical altercation. The victim was taken to hospital by EMS. A canine officer, who also responded to the incident detained one of the alleged assailants in the area. Further investigation led to charges against this individual.
Twenty-two year-old Matthew Matice Richard SINCLAIR-BEAR, of Regina, is charged with:
– Aggravated Assault, s. 268(1) CC; and
– Fail to Comply with Conditions of Release Order, s. 145(5)(a) CC.
SINCLAIR-BEAR made his first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 24, 2022.
