Earlier this week, a 20 year-old Regina male was charged with Aggravated Assault in connection with an incident on May 26, 2022.
In this investigation, police were dispatched at approximately 8:45 a.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2022, for a report of an injured person. Police went to the back yard of a property in the 1700 block Ottawa Street and found a 35 year-old male victim who had sustained injuries described as serious. The victim was taken to hospital by EMS for treatment. Continued investigation into this incident, led by the Major Crimes Unit, resulted in the identification of a suspect and an arrest on June 5, 2022. In addition to the assault on the victim, police have evidence to indicate a Robbery occurred within the same incident.
Twenty year-old Cash Evans Gordon DESNOMIE, of Regina, is charged with:
- Robbery, s. 344(1)(b) CC; and
- Aggravated Assault, s. 268(1) CC.
DESNOMIE made his first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 6, 2022.
