On July 1, 2022 at approximately 11:50 p.m, members of the Regina Police Service responded to a report of gunshots and a fight in the area of 3rd Avenue and Elizabeth Crescent. Police arrived on scene and observed one male pass a long barreled firearm to occupants of a nearby vehicle. The male who had the firearm was safely taken into custody and arrested. Police were able to stop the vehicle and recover the firearm. Spent shell casings were located at the scene.
Twenty year old, Hazek PAUS is charged with the following offences:
- Reckless Discharge of a Firearm [CC 244.2 (1) (b)]
- Careless Use of a Firearm [CC 86(1)]
- Possession of Weapon Dangerous to Public Peace [CC 88]
- Possession of Firearm Knowing Possession is Unauthorized [CC 92(1)]
Hazek PAUS will make his first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court on Monday, July 4, 2022 at 9:30 a.m.
