A third person has been arrested and charged in connection with the murder of a 24 year-old male whose body was found on December 16, 2021 in a house on the 1400 block of Cameron Street. There are already two other persons charged with First-Degree Murder in this case.
The victim in this case was 24 year-old Morgan Freeman BLIND, of Regina. Police and firefighters were dispatched on December 16, 2021, to a house in the 1400 block of Cameron Street for a report of a house fire. In their firefighting efforts, firefighters discovered the body of a deceased male inside the house. The investigation shifted to a death investigation with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service, and then to a homicide investigation. Through continued investigation, police were able to identify a third suspect in this case. This suspect was arrested with the assistance of Patrol and Canine on July 6, 2022.
Thirty-one year-old Dakota Clifford George BLONDEAU, of Regina, is charged with First-Degree Murder, contrary to section 235(1) of the Criminal Code. BLONDEAU made his first court appearance on this charge in Provincial Court (today) Thursday, July 7, 2022 at 9:30 a.m.
