A 43 year-old Regina male is facing a charge of Robbery after an incident in the area of 14th Avenue and Halifax Street yesterday (Tuesday).
Police were dispatched to this call at approximately 2:17 p.m. on Tuesday, November 15, 2022. The complainant indicated she and an adult male were inside their vehicle when an unknown male opened the passenger side door and demanded their possessions. It’s also alleged the suspect male reached over the passenger and tried to take the driver’s cellphone from him. Other persons in the area helped by detaining the suspect until police arrived and took him safely into custody. The male victim sustained only minor injuries from a brief scuffle with the suspect.
Forty-three year-old William Allan CAMPBELL, of Regina, is charged with Robbery, contrary to section 344(1)(b) of the Criminal Code. CAMPBELL made his first court appearance on this charge in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday (today), November 16, 2022.
