A 47 year-old Regina male is facing several charges of Mischief in relation to incidents of graffiti in downtown Regina in 2022.
Six incidents – some repeated at the same location – were reported to police between the end of March and the end of September. These incidents were:
March 25, 2022 – 2700 block 13th Avenue – damage to bench and doors
March 25-28, 2022 – 1800 block Hamilton Street – damage to glass door
September 19-20, 2022 – 2400 block Victoria Avenue – damage to windows
September 20, 2022 – 2400 block Victoria Avenue – damage to windows
September 25, 2022 – 2400 block Victoria Avenue – damage to windows
September 26-27, 2022 – 2300 block 12th Avenue – damage to windows
Each case was the subject of investigation by police officers of the Regina Police Service Investigative Services Division. The incidents bore similarities to each other, and investigators identified a potential suspect. A 47 year-old male was named the subject of six warrants for Mischief and seven warrants for Breach of Probation, but the suspect was not located until Friday, November 11, 2022, in the area of Victoria Avenue and Edgar Street. The male suspect was arrested without incident and the warrants were executed.
Forty-seven year-old Anthony John BARRY of Regina is facing six charges of Mischief and seven charges of Breaching the conditions of his Probation. BARRY made his first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court, on Monday, November 14, 2022 (today) at 9:30 a.m.
