On Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at around 1:35 p.m., police were dispatched to a residence in the 1300 block of Princess Street for a report of a home invasion. Early information suggested multiple suspects entered a home and pointed what was believed to be a firearm and bear mace at a resident. The suspects were reported to have left the area in a truck.
Investigation led police to identify the truck believed to be used in the offence; it was parked in the 800 block of Retallack Street with multiple individuals inside. As police approached the vehicle to conduct a traffic stop, the vehicle evaded police at a high rate of speed. Around 3:15 p.m., police again located the truck on Labelle Place. Officers conducted a high-risk traffic stop and three occupants of the vehicle were taken into police custody. Police confirmed the vehicle was the same truck used by the suspects to flee the home invasion.
A search of the vehicle incident to arrest resulted in police locating metal pipes and several knives. A can of bear spray was also located near the truck. As a result:

- Disguise With Intent [CC 351 (2)];
- Use of Imitation Firearm During Commission of an Indictable Offence [CC 85 (2)(A)];
- Possession of a Firearm/Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order [CC 117.01 (1)].
Twenty-four year-old Kaylem Myron Slade GRIER, of Regina, has been charged with:
- Break Enter & Commit [CC 448 (1)(B)];
- Use of Imitation Firearm During Commission of an Indictable Offence [CC 85 (2)(A);
- Carless Use of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition [CC 86 (1)].
Twenty-two year-old Tabitha Lee Maria WAGNER, of Regina, has been charged with:
- Break Enter & Commit [CC 448 (1)(B)];
- Use of Imitation Firearm During Commission of an Indictable Offence [CC 85 (2)(A)];
- Flight From Peace Officer [CC 320.17].
DESJARLAIS, GRIER and WAGNER all made their first court appearances on Wednesday, December 7th at 9:30 a.m.
