The Regina Police Service is requesting help from the public in solving an attempted robbery that occurred in downtown Regina yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon.
At approximately 2:50 p.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, police units were dispatched to a restaurant business in the 1900 block of Albert Street for a report of an attempted robbery that had just taken place. An employee at the business reported that an unknown male came into the business, produced a knife from under his clothing and demanded money. The suspect did not get anything from the business and, fortunately, the employee was not physically harmed in this incident. The suspect fled on foot, heading north-west towards 12th Avenue. The suspect is described as male, approximately 30-35 years old, with facial tattoos. This incident is under investigation.
