Two adult males face Break and Enter charges after an arrest on Saturday evening.
On Saturday March 4, 2023, at approximately 6:55 p.m., police were dispatched to the 600 block of Broad Street for a report of a break and enter to a business. Police received information that a vehicle stolen in a Break and Enter to the same address on March 3, 2023, had returned. Police attended to the business and located the stolen vehicle in the compound. Two suspects occupied the vehicle. Both male suspects were arrested at the scene without incident.
Through further investigation, it was learned that one of the suspects was also involved in a break and enter to another business located in the 2700 block of Gordon Road also on March 3, 2023.
Twenty year-old Elijah TAYPAYOSATUM, of Piapot First Nation, is charged with:
- Break & Enter With Intent CC 348(1)(A)
- Possession of Stolen Property Over $5000 CC 355(A)
- Possession of Stolen Property Under $5000 CC 355(B)
- Breach of Probation CC 733.1(1)
TAYPAYOSATUM will make his first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court, on April 19, 2023.
Twenty-seven year-old Delbert KAISWATUM, of Regina, is charged with:
- Break & Enter and Commit CC 348(1)(B) X2
- Break & Enter With Intent CC 348(1)(A)
- Possession of Stolen Property Over $5000 CC 355(A) X2
- Possession of Stolen Property Under $5000 CC 355(B)
- Theft of Motor Vehicle CC 333.1(1) X2
- Possession of an Identity Document CC 56.1(1)
- Impaired Operation of a Conveyance by Drug CC 320.14(1)(A)
- Breach of Undertaking CC145(4)(A)
KAISWATUM will make his first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court, on Monday March 6, 2023.
