Just after midnight on Thursday, April 20, 2023, Patrol officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 1800 block of St. John Street. Two occupants were inside the vehicle and police observed what appeared to be drugs in plain view. Both occupants exited the vehicle and were taken into police custody. Police also located a loaded firearm and ammunition inside the vehicle. As a result of investigation:
Nineteen year-old Antoine AGECOUTAY has been charged with:
- Careless Use of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device [CC 86 (1)];
- Possession of A Weapon [CC 88];
- Carrying Concealed Weapon [CC 90];
- Possession of a Loaded or Restricted Firearm [CC 95 (1)];
- Unauthorized Possession of A Firearm [CC 91 (1)];
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance [CDSA 4 (1)];
- Fail To Comply With Probation Order [CC 733.1(1)].
AGECOUTAY made his first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court this morning (April 20, 2023) at 9:30 a.m.
