On April 9, 2023, at approximately 1:10 a.m., a member of the Regina Police Service Canine Unit performed a traffic stop at Arcola Avenue and McAra Street. There were three occupants in the vehicle and through investigation, police located and seized a loaded shotgun and ammunition in the vehicle. All three occupants of the vehicle were arrested.
Thirty-one year-old, George Tyrone GAMBLER of Regina, is charged with:
- Careless Storage of a Firearm [CC 86(1)]
- Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose [CC 88]
- Possession of Firearm Knowing Possession is Unauthorized [CC 92(1)]
- Unauthorized Possession of Firearm in a Vehicle [CC 94 (1)]
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing Serial Number has been Tampered With [CC 108(1)(b)]
- Prohibited Possession Contrary to an Order [CC 117.01(1)] X 2
GAMBLER will make his first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, April 10, 2023.
Eighteen year-old Zayda SINCLAIR of Regina and Nineteen year-old Tamia MINTUCK of Regina, are charged with:
- Unauthorized Possession of Firearm in a Vehicle [CC 94 (1)]
SINCLAIR AND MINTUCK will make their first court appearance on this charge in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 18, 2023.
