The Regina Police Service is asking for information from the public that could assist in an investigation into a hit and run incident that left an adult female injured.
At approximately 9:40 p.m. yesterday evening, May 29, 2023, patrol officers were driving in the 2800 block of Dewdney Avenue when they located a female lying on the road. At the same time, a witness called in to the Regina Police Service Communications Centre reporting a woman had been hit by a truck that left the scene of the collision.
Officers attended to the female victim until EMS arrived and transported her to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The victim told police she was walking across the street when a truck struck her from behind.
The suspect vehicle is described as a light coloured pick-up truck. A photo of the vehicle accompanies this news release.
