The Regina Police Service has laid charges in connection to Regina’s first homicide of 2023.
On Thursday, February 9, 2023 at approximately 11:55 a.m., police were dispatched to a residence in the 600 block of Garnet Street for a report of an injured person. Information received was that a male was the victim of an apparent overdose. Police and EMS arrived and attended to the male. At approximately 12:00 p.m., EMS pronounced the male deceased, beginning a death investigation.
Further investigation into the circumstances of the death determined it to be a homicide. The deceased male has been identified as 36 year old Patrick BADGER of Regina. Next of kin have been notified.
As a result of investigation by the Regina Police Service Major Crimes Unit, two adult males have been charged.
Forty-six year-old Peter Anthony SHEEPSKIN, of Regina, has been charged with:
- Second Degree Murder [CC 235 (1)]
Twenty-five year-old Darien TOTO, of Regina, has been charged with:
- Second Degree Murder [CC 235 (1)]
SHEEPSKIN and TOTO each made their first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court this morning (July 7, 2023) at 9:30 a.m.
