On Friday, October 20, 2023 at approximately 10:00 p.m., police responded to the 2400 block of Legislative Drive for a report of a female outside the Legislative Building waving a machete at passing vehicles. Police arrived on scene and located the 36 year-old female suspect who was taken into custody without incident. Police located a machete concealed in the woman’s waistband upon search incident to arrest.
Thirty-six year old Crystal Gail TAYPOTAT, of Regina is charged with:
- Possession of Weapon Dangerous to Public Peace [CC 88]
- Carry Concealed Weapon [CC 90]
- Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order [CC 145(5)(a)]
TAYPOTAT will appear in Regina Provincial Court on these charges on December 7, 2023 at 9:30 a.m.
