The Regina Police Service, working in conjunction with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service, is confirming that an investigation into a seriously injured male is now a homicide investigation. This is the eighth homicide in Regina in 2023.
Police were called to the 1900 block of Montreal Street shortly after 6:30 a.m. Saturday, November 4, 2023. Initial information indicated there was an injured male lying outside a residence. Police and EMS attended and located an adult male who was suffering from serious injuries. The male was transported to hospital but succumbed to the injuries. Officers secured the immediate area and requested the additional resources of the Major Crimes and Forensic Identification units, as well as the Coroner.
The victim is a 61 year-old male. His name will not be released at this time.
