At approximately 3:45 p.m. on November 15, 2023, police were called to the area of 1st Avenue North and Broad Street following a report that several pedestrians had been struck by a vehicle.
When officers arrived, they located an adult female and two children who had been struck by a vehicle while crossing the street. The driver remained on scene. The three victims were taken by EMS to hospital for treatment of what appeared to be minor injuries.
As a result of the investigation, the 52 year-old male driver was issued a ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian under Section 237(2)(b) of the Traffic Safety Act.
