The investigation into a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian over the weekend is complete and investigators have determined no charges will be laid and no tickets will be issued.
On Saturday, November 18, 2023 at approximately 9:00 p.m., members of the Regina Police Service responded to a report of a vehicle – pedestrian collision near the intersection of 9th Avenue and Albert Street. When police arrived on scene, they found a male in his thirties who appeared to have been struck by a vehicle. The male was transported to the hospital by EMS with serious injuries. He remains in hospital in stable condition.
The driver of the vehicle involved remained on scene. The road was closed for several hours as officers from the Forensic Identification Unit and Traffic Collision Unit investigated. Pedestrians are reminded to always use crosswalks and obey traffic signals when crossing the street.
