On the morning of Sunday, August 18, 2024, at approximately 6:50 a.m., police were dispatched to the 2500 block of Elphinstone Street for the report of a robbery. Information received indicated that a group of individuals assaulted a victim and stole items from them.
Police arrived and were given a description of two male youths and one female youth, who had fled the scene. An area search was conducted and officers located three suspects matching the descriptions.
As a result, a 15 year-old youth, who cannot be named in keeping with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is charged with:
- Robbery [CC 344(1)(B)]; and
- Failure to Comply with Disposition [YCJA 137].
The other 13 and 15 year-old youths, who cannot be named in keeping with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, are charged with:
- Robbery [CC 344(1)(B)].
The youths made their first appearance on these charges in Provincial Youth Court today, August 19, 2024, at 9:30 a.m.
