On Sunday, November 17, 2024, at approximately 12:50 p.m., police were dispatched to a residence in the 100 block of Durham Drive for the reports of a weapons offence. Information received indicated the victim had been threatened with a firearm, following a verbal altercation.
Police attended the scene and spoke with the victim, who provided a statement. A short while later, police located the male suspect, who was arrested without incident.
As a result of this investigation, 39 year-old Christopher COOK, is charged with:
- Uttering Threats [CC 264.1 (1)(A)];
- Use of Imitation Firearm [CC 85 (2)(A)];
- Possession of Firearm or Ammunition [CC 117.01 (1)]; and
- Failure to Comply [CC 145 (4)(A)].
The accused made their first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court this morning, November 18, 2024 at 9:30 a.m.
