Four suspects are facing charges after an incident early Sunday morning.
Shortly before 5:00 a.m. on December 1, 2024, police were dispatched to the 2200 Block of Edward Street for the report of a weapons offence. Information provided was that the victim had been assaulted and injured by what appeared to be a firearm.
Police arrived and located four suspects. A search revealed a firearm.
As a result of this investigation, 27 year-old Emmett SOPER, is charged with:
- Possession of Firearm [CC 117.01(1)] x2;
- Use of Firearm [CC 85(1)(A);
- Failure to Comply [CC 145(5)(A)];
- Storing Firearm or Restricted Weapon [CC 86(2)];
- Uttering Threats [CC 264.1(1)(A)];
- Possession of Unauthorized Firearm [CC 92(1)]; and
- Assault with a Weapon [CC 267(A)].
Thirty-two year-old, Travis HARVEY, is charged with:
- Storing Firearm or Restricted Weapon [CC 86 (2)]; and
- Possession of Unauthorized Firearm [CC 92(1)].
Twenty-eight year-old, Brandon SEIDLIK, is charged with:
- Failure to Comply [CC 145(4)(A)].
Thirty year-old, Hayley BRAUN, is charged with:
- Assault with a Weapon [CC 267(A)].
SOPER, HARVEY, SEIDLIK, and BRAUN made their first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court this morning, Monday, December 2, 2024 at 9:30 a.m.
