Two people are facing charges following a series of robberies at businesses in the city.
The first robbery occurred on January 26, 2025 at a business in the 2900 block of Gordon Road. Police were called to the location at approximately 9:30 p.m. When they arrived they spoke with employees and learned that a lone male suspect entered the store, took several items off the shelf and proceeded to leave the store. Security tried to stop the suspect but the suspect threatened them with a knife before fleeing the scene.
Three days later, on January 29, 2025, police received another report of a robbery at the same business, this time, a location in the 1000 block of Pasqua Street North. Officers were dispatched to the scene shortly before 7:30 p.m. Employees told police a lone male suspect entered the business, took several items off the shelf and started to leave. When employees confronted him, the suspect threatened them with a knife and fled.
At approximately 3:20 p.m. on February 24, 2025, police were called to the same location in the 1000 block of Pasqua Street North for another report of a robbery. Officers arrived on scene and learned that a lone male suspect entered the store, took various items off the shelf and proceeded to leave. When confronted by a store employee, the suspect threatened them with a baton. The suspect then fled the scene.
Through investigation by members of the Patrol Unit and the Robbery Unit, two male suspects were arrested and charged.
Twenty-one year-old Kainen CARRIER-JACK of Regina is charged with:
- 3 x Robbery [CC 344(1)(b)];
- 2 x Disguise with Intent [CC 351(2)]; and
- Breach of Conditions [CC742.6(1)].
Forty-one year-old Chad PARISIEN is charged in relation to the January 29, 2025 robbery. He is charged with:
- Robbery [CC 344 (1)(B)].
Both CARRIER-JACK and PARISIEN made their first appearance on these charges in Regina Provincial Court.
