Under the authority of, and pursuant to, the Saskatchewan Public Disclosure Act, the Regina Police Service is issuing a public advisory on a male, who is considered to be a high risk to reoffend sexually. Please note: release decisions are made following the provisions of the Corrections and Conditional Release Act; these decisions are not made by police.
As of today, Monday, March 31, 2025 – forty-eight (48) year-old Jason Paul THORN, is living in the Heritage neighbourhood of Regina, in a residence that provides supervision and monitoring of his activities. This information is intended to enable members of the public to take suitable preventative measures, not to embark on any form of vigilantism or other unreasonable conduct directed at this individual.
Jason Paul THORN is described as: Male, 48 years old, 5 ‘ 9” tall, weighing approximately 170 pounds, medium build, with brown eyes and black hair. A brief description of THORN’s offending behaviour is as follows: Jason Paul THORN has a criminal history which includes sexual offences and has a history of reoffending. He poses a high risk for acts of sexual offending against female children. The prospects for reduction of his risk through treatment interventions are poor.
Jason Paul THORN will be released on his legislated Statutory Release as of March 31, 2025. THORN must abide by the following special conditions:
- Must not consume, purchase, or possess alcohol;
- Must not consume, purchase, or possess drugs, other than prescribed medicines, taken as directed by a physician, and over-the-counter drugs, taken as recommended by the manufacturer;
- Must follow psychiatric counselling and medication regime as directed by a clinician;
- Must follow psychological counselling to be arranges by your parole supervisor/as directed by a clinician, in relation to sexual deviancy;
- Must follow treatment plan as directed by parole supervisor or clinician in relation to sexual deviancy;
- Must not associate with any person known or suspected to be involved in criminal activity or substance use;
- Must follow treatment plan/program to be arranged by your parole supervisor in the areas of substance abuse, trauma, and sexual deviancy.
- Must reside at a community correctional centre or a community residential facility or psychiatric facility approved by the Correctional Service of Canada to your warrant expiry date.
- Must immediately report all sexual and non-sexual relationships and friendships with females and males and any changes to the status of the relationships/friendships to your parole supervisor;
- Must not be in, near, or around places where children under the age of 18 are likely to congregate such as daycares, elementary and secondary schools, parks, and playgrounds, swimming pools and recreational centres unless accompanied by a responsible adult previously approved in writing by your parole supervisor; and
- Must not purchase, acquire, possess or access pornography or sexually explicit material in any form or type of media.
