The Regina Police Service is investigating the city’s second homicide of 2025.
At approximately 12:20 a.m. on Thursday, April 10, 2025, police and EMS were dispatched to a call for service at a residence in the 400 block of East College Avenue. The caller reported an injured adult male on scene.
Upon arrival, police located the male victim and attempted life-saving measures. EMS arrived on scene and the male was declared deceased. Officers secured the scene and requested the additional resources of the Regina Police Service Major Crimes Unit and the Forensic Identification Unit. An investigation in conjunction with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service was launched. Investigation determined the death to be a homicide.
The victim is 42 year-old Christopher Seaton of Regina.
As result of the investigation, 36 year-old James DUBOIS of Regina is charged with:
• First-Degree Murder [CC 235 (1)].
DUBOIS was arrested in Davidson, SK on Thursday, April 10, 2025, with the asisstance of the RCMP, Regina Police Service Patrol, SWAT, and Canine Units, as well as the RPS Aerial Support Unit.
DUBOIS will make his first appearance on these charges today, Friday, April 11, 2025 at 9:30 a.m. in Regina Provincial Court.
