The Human Resource Section is responsible for the personnel of the Regina Police Service. The HR Section is made up of both police officers and civilian staff in a number of different units.
Human Resources Administration consists of the HR Manager, a Senior Administrative Assistant and a Junior Administrative Assistant. The Manager oversees the functioning of the entire area and manages the strategic direction of the HR function for the Regina Police Service. The Administrative team provides support for all areas of HR.
The Armourer is a civilian position. This position is responsible for managing the inventory of use of force options that police officers use. The Armourer manages the practice firearms range and does most repairs to the firearms. This position also has an integral part of training police officers – both new and experienced and coordinates yearly mandatory qualifications which police officers must participate in.
