One adult and two youths are facing numerous break and enter charges after an incident during the early morning hours on Sunday.
On February 24, 2019, at approximately 3:15 a.m., police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Clayton Street for a report for a break and enter in progress. Canine and patrol officers conducted a track and located three suspect males on the 6700 block of Dewdney Avenue. Two males, aged 24 and 17, were arrested and charged. A search revealed property alleged to be stolen from several other reported break and enters. Further investigation led to the arrest of a third suspect, a 15 year old male, at approximately 11:30 a.m., and subsequent charges were laid.
Twenty-four year-old Braison North MCNAB, of Regina, is charged with:
- 6 x Break and enter and commit theft [348(1)(B) CC];
- Attempt break and enter house [348(1)(A) CC];
- 2 x Break and enter with intent [348(1)(A) CC]; and
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000 [355(A) CC].
MCNAB appeared in Provincial Court for these charges on February 25, 2019 at 9:30 a.m.
Two males, ages 15 and 17, who cannot be named in accordance with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, have been jointly charged with two counts each of Break and enter and commit theft [348(1)(B) CC]. The 17 year-old youth has also been charged with Break and enter with intent [348(1)(A) CC].
The youths appeared in Youth Provincial Court for these charges on February 25, 2019 at 9:30 a.m.
