Neighbourhood Watch Link

Let’s look out for each other!

Neighbourhood Watch has gone from pamphlets, resident patrols and in-person meetings to information shared quickly and often, via social media. Chat groups on various social platforms give residents and business owners a place to exchange information in an effort to keep their neighbourhoods safe.

The Regina Police Service Neighbourhood Watch Link program promotes this by regularly sharing crime prevention information with community associations.

RPS will provide community associations with updates on neighbourhood-specific crime trends;  Community members are encouraged to report crime or suspicious activity to police.

What can Ward 4 residents expect?

  • Signage reminding residents that if they “see something” to “say something” via RPS online reporting or 306-777-6500.
  • Residents will have access to stickers and posters they can hang up to remind everyone the area is part of a neighbourhood watch program.
  • Each month, police will share timely crime trends, statistics and crime prevention tips with community associations so they can be shared online and beyond.

When community members report crime in their area, the Regina Police Service is better able to plan policing resources including pro-active police presence in neighbourhoods.
