The Regina Police Service were conducting an investigation into a single motor vehicle rollover involving a stolen auto that occurred early this morning in the southbound lane of Albert St N, north of the Albert St overpass.
Police were on scene at this location at approximately 1:50 am on Tuesday November 5, 2019 when the rollover took place. Preliminary investigation indicates the vehicle was travelling southbound at a high rate of speed, entered the ditch on the west side of the highway, and rolled several times. The rollover caused damage to a fence and significant damage to the vehicle itself. The two occupants of the stolen vehicle were taken into custody and transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Traffic is no longer restricted in the southbound lanes of Albert St. N entering the city from highways 6 and 11.
There are no other details available at this time, and further information on the apprehended suspects and pending charges will be released as the investigation unfolds.
