The Regina Police Service is happy to report that this year’s “Mosaic – A Festival of Cultures” was exciting for all the right reasons: the annual event was, once again, a fun-filled celebration of our diverse community.
It is an unfortunate possibility that events which draw large crowds can, sometimes, also present an opportunity for crime to occur. Police officers, in attendance at the various Mosaic pavilions over the weekend, encountered no reports of criminal activity or victimization in connection with the crowds attending Mosaic events.
The Regina Police Service commends the organizers of Mosaic for, once again, providing the framework to enable the various cultures of our city to showcase the best of music, dance, art, fashion and food, in a safe environment. Likewise the citizens of Regina are to be commended for their responsible and respectful enjoyment of all Mosaic has to offer.
