The Regina Police Service Street Gang Unit with the assistance of Canine Unit and Patrol executed a warrant at a residence on the 4000 block of 7th Avenue on March 1, 2019. This was part of an ongoing illegal drug and weapons investigation. As result of this enforcement action, firearms, ammunition and a quantity of a substance believed to be cocaine were located, and a 22 year-old male and a 20 year-old female were arrested and charged.
Twenty-two year-old Marlon Roland WHITEHAWK, of Regina, is charged with:
- 4 X Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order [CC 117.01(1)];
- Careless use of firearm [CC 86(1)];
- Possession of a weapon [CC 88];
- Possession of a prohibited weapon knowing its possession unauthorized [CC 92(2)];
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle [CC 94];
- Possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition [CC 95(1)(B)];
- Possession of a prohibited firearm obtained by crime [CC 96(1)];
- Possession of a firearm knowing serial number has been tampered with [CC 108(1)(B)];
- Fail to comply with undertaking [CC 145(3)]; and
- Possession of a scheduled substance (cocaine) [CDSA 4(1)].
Twenty year-old Tyra Jade CRANE, of Regina, is charged with:
- 2 X Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order [CC 117.01(1)];
- Careless use of firearm [CC 86(1)];
- Possession of a weapon [CC 88];
- Possession of a prohibited weapon knowing its possession unauthorized [CC 92(2)];
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle [CC 94];
- Possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition [CC 95(1)(B)];
- Possession of a prohibited firearm obtained by crime [CC 96(1)]; and
- Possession of a firearm knowing serial number has been tampered with [CC 108(1)(B)].
WHITEHAWK and CRANE make their first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court this morning, Monday, March 4, 2019, at 9:30 a.m.
