The Regina Police Service is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a suspect wanted in relation to an assault and stolen vehicle.
Early this morning, Thursday, October 7, 2021, police were called to a report of a break in at a business compound in the 600 Block of Albert Street. When police arrived, they did not immediately locate a suspect. However, they were approached by an employee from a nearby business who reported seeing someone matching the suspect description in a neighboring compound.
Officers followed the witness to the area and began to search while the witness waited at the compound gate. Moments into the search, officers heard the sounds of an altercation. They returned to the entrance where they saw the suspect and the witness engaged in a physical altercation. As they approached the suspect, he entered the witness’s car and drove off.
The suspect is described as a male, approximately 20 years old and 150 pounds. He was wearing a white shirt with black pants. The stolen vehicle is a blue, 2019 Nissan Sentra with SK license plate 111 GCF.
